Katie Clement is a new and talented designer who is currently in her final year of a BA Honours Degree in Printed Textiles at Loughborough University.
Born in Surrey, she produces innovative, contemporary and sometimes quirky CAD and hand drawn designs for both fashion and interiors, taking her inspiration from the environment in which she lives and the places that she visits.
During her time at University she has taken an extra year to complete a diploma in professional studies designing for Aregi Design in Munich, where she lived and worked for six months, and Tom Cody in London.
She has exhibited work at Indigo in Paris and will be showing her latest work at Visionaire 2010 in Loughborough and London.
Katie has recently been awarded 1st Prize for the Prestigious Textiles Award: for a Printed Interiors Textile Design for the Domestic Market, in the Bradford Textile Society Design Competition 2010.
